picking & choosing from the infinite examples in yr life...many of which r rich in experience, entertainment value, & overall significance...2 fill yr couple electronic pages of space. it's quite a task. but u can't help but try...
i babysat 4 the first time this week. thursday night. little 9yrold called Stephen, half vietnamese. has a gameboy colour, wants a GB advance SP. has cash saved up from experiments in boyscout enterpreneurism. loves montypython & halloween candy. hates the breakfast served @ his new school. is thinking abt splurging on a gamecube if he can hold out long enuff on the checks his aunt sends him, as compensation 4 allthe toys he had 2 sell/give away 2 move down 2 nashville. has up & moved too many times 2 count, lives w/ his single mom...who's getting a phd in economics & yet manages 2 find time 2 raise him. has perfect asian fingers & toes. looks impish w/out his glasses. has a plastic samurai sword. is a star wars connoisseur -- knows their "dot-com" back to front. & the codes. codes upon codes upon codes. gets a subcription 2 a flimsy, stylized boy's magazine. likes pizza w/ thin crust.
it's been a long long while...since i last spent some extended time around a kid...
after we watched monty python, he turned off the tv & we just talked...4 like 2 hrs & more...ran over his bed time...got him under the covers 'fore mom came home & busted us. i learned a lot that night...
i learned i'd 4gotten a lot that night too...
